I can not log in using the extension to be able to use the paid version features and see an automatic translation when a second subtitle(in English) is not available which is the case for many great German TV shows.
When I click on login a white page opens and remains blank and closes automatically after a few seconds! I am really frustrated with this extension.

In case it is caused by a conflict with some other Chrome extention. Try to deactivate all the other active extentions, restart Chrome and Netflix and try to log in.
Sorry about this. We’re releasing a new version of the extension soon (v5.0) with a completely new login mecanism. So, there will be bugs, just different ones. 
Are you a pro user? Can you hang on for 1-2 weeks?
