Hi, I’m writing about the automatic subtitle “framerate correction” feature that was recently added.
I understand the intention behind this feature, but in my case it is actually causing a problem: the subtitles I upload are already perfectly synchronized with the video. After Language Reactor processes them, however, the timing gets shifted, making the subtitles noticeably out of sync.
The particularly frustrating part is that I have to wait around a minute for the correction process to finish before I can manually use the “+X seconds” / “-X seconds” controls repeatedly to bring the subtitles back to 0.00s and restore the synchronization they had originally.
This makes the feature counterproductive for users who are already providing correctly synchronized subtitles.
Could you please consider either:
- Adding an option to completely disable/opt out of automatic framerate correction, or
- Not applying the correction when the uploaded subtitles are already correctly synchronized.
Ideally, this should be a user-controlled setting, because there are cases where subtitle timing is already accurate and does not need to be modified.
I really like Language Reactor and use it with a Premium account, but having to wait for a process that then makes perfectly synced subtitles worse is becoming quite frustrating.
Please consider adding an opt-out option or otherwise allowing users to preserve the original subtitle timing exactly as uploaded.
