Slower speeds on YouTube Media

Could you please apply all of the speed levels for Netflix to the youtube videos (.5, .75, .875, 1)? The .8 is not slow enough.

Are there any plans to allow for slower speeds on the YouTube media player from inside of LanguageReactor? The .8 is too fast and I am tired of constantly checking to see if you have updated the options for something that is not going to happen.

Hi @Kimberly_Norton, thank you for your suggestion! We are already developing this feature so that it will be possible to control the playback speed, just like on YouTube, for example. I can’t say exactly when it will be released.
But in the meantime, you can use a workaround as follows:

  1. Install the LR extension in Google Chrome (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/language-reactor/hoombieeljmmljlkjmnheibnpciblicm)
  2. In the YouTube catalogue on the website, click on the ‘Watch on YouTube’ link (see screenshot)
  3. In the YouTube player, select the desired playback speed
    LR subtitles will work in exactly the same way as they do on the website.
    Of course, this is only a workaround for YouTube; for other sections, we’re waiting for this feature to be implemented. Thank you for your understanding! :slightly_smiling_face:
