… LR does not pick up the thai words correctly.
Example:
ไปไห is correctly picked up as a single word because how often it is used in the thai language as such.
However, ยูทูป (meaning “youtube”) gets picked up as ยู/ทู/ป (3 distinct words with meaning in thai, which then provides an hover translation as “graduate of theology” - which is evidently incorrect.
This has been reported before as it’s happening in about 1 out of 5 lines, which quickly becomes frustrating. It is not limited to “borrowed” words, but also applies to native words that fail to be recognized properly.
As other pointed out, a good solution if you cannot have the AI properly pick up the words would be to simply allow users to overide a selection, as the thai language is for the most part made of monosyllables joining together to form a word: คนขับรถ (“Driver”) means คน (“person”) + ขับ (“driving”) + รถ (“car”).
This is very problematic because this app is the ONLY one that supports Thai (the others don’t) and the fix is super simple to implement. Please consider it!
