Why doesn't the progress counter save settings?

Hello. The progress counter at the bottom right of the screen is decremental by default, i.e, it will decrease as the video progresses.

Clicking on it switches to an incremental counter and shows how the progress in the video being played.

The issue is that it doesn’t remember the format we set it to after starting another video. So it would be ideal if it stayed in the format we set it to rather than having to do it everytime we open the player.
Thanks.

Hello @Kronks, thank you for bringing this to our attention and letting us know—that’s a great suggestion! I’ll pass your request along to the team so the possibility of implementing this idea can be discussed!

Hello @Kronks, I’m back with the results.
We solved this problem a little differently. Instead of keeping track of whether the timer was set to a countdown or elapsed time, the player now always displays elapsed time / total duration (for example, 3:15 / 12:40).
Since the total duration is now always displayed, the one-click toggle feature is no longer used.

Thank you for helping us improve Language Reactor! :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you I was happy when I saw it. A nice quality of life improvement for the website
