Chinese simplified subtitles not recognised

Not sure if this is a bug or a problem with the subtitle file itself:

If I try to select the โ€œChinese (Simplified)โ€ subtitle in the โ€œYoutube subtitle language settingโ€ for this video: Chinese Peppa Pig - ๐Ÿ‘ž๐๐ž๐ฐ ๐’๐ก๐จ๐ž๐ฌ ๆ–ฐ้ž‹ๅญ - ๐Ÿ– ๐‚๐‚ ๐’๐”๐๐’ - YouTube, Iโ€™m not getting dictionary lookup or vocabulary highlighting (among other things). When I simply choose โ€œChineseโ€ it worksโ€ฆ the pity is that this subtitle file contains also pinyin and the english translation which messes everything up.

I think this is probably the same problem Iโ€™m seeing here: Hover dictionary is broken "Failed to retreive linguistic data" - #6 by Callum

Neither Chinese (Simplified) or Chinese (Traditional) work for me at the moment on any video Iโ€™ve tried. It was fine a couple of weeks ago!

Just tried again with the mentioned chinese peppa pig video: now it works.
Thank you.
