Disabling the AI Assistant

hey there! i really love the app and it’s been a great help so far, but i would really appreciate it if it were possible to entirely disable any AI assistant prompting when i click on a word. one could say i can just skip that section and read the parts that i actually need, but LLM chatbots are insanely resource intensive, so it doesn’t quite sit right with me with how often i use the dictionary feature.

apologies if it’s already a thing and i missed it! clearing the prompt field in the settings resets it to the default text and i couldn’t find anything else related to this.

@vitamin to get only the translation of a word without AI and example sections, you need to enable the show mini dictionary option in the settings and hover the cursor over the needed word

If you need translation and examples, you can simply hide the Lexa AI assistant block in the dictionary popup. To do this, click on the arrow next to Lexa AI assistant in dictionary popup

You could likely delete the AI prompts too, leaving nothing for it to generate data from.

deleting the prompt sadly doesn’t work — the moment the prompt window is cleared, it immediately resets to the default text (can’t be empty). :frowning:

so i suppose for now my only option of avoiding chatbot requests would be to only use the hover dictionary.
