If you have 2 subtitles, say a spanish and an english one, and the spanish one a word, say “bien” is highlighted, then on the spanish one, “good” should be highlighted.
basically, it’d make sense to highlight the corresponding word so that you can kinda tell instantly what that word is in both languages.
