I want Tips for Maximizing Language Learning with Netflix?

Hey everyone,

I started using Language Learning with Netflix & i lv how it is making my language practice more fun and engaging.

how do you all balance watching for enjoyment versus actively studying? Do you pause frequently to look up words or do you prefer to let the subtitles flow and catch what you can? do you have any favorite shows or movie that worked particularly well for language learning??

What is your workflow for saving new words or phrases?? I have been trying to make flashcards; but I am wondering if there is a better system to stay consistent without feeling overwhelmed.

Also i have check this https://forum.languagelearningwithnetflix.com/t/how-to-maximize-language-learning-with-netflix-s-subtitles-toolgcp Anyone have any advice, personal strategies or even cool hacks you have discovered while using LLN would be super helpful

Thank you.

I only have 2 tips:

  1. Watch stuff you like. You’ll pay more attention and want to continue studying. It won’t be as much of a chore.

  2. Use the auto pause function. I review sentences and words I don’t yet know or understand before moving on to the next sentence. I try to keep a 4X pace. Meaning, a 20 minute episode of Dan Da Dan should take me (about) an hour to get through. More than that and I’m overloading myself and nothing will stick.

Which language are you learning and which is your current series?
