Original Audio not exporting?

Hello, I’m not sure if this is a bug or it’s just how the app works, but I noticed that when I review the items in Anki, SOME shows/media cards contain the original audio. But not all shows/media cards export with the original audio. My example is Solo Leveling and My Hero Academia (both on Netflix). Solo leveling has the original anime’s audio in the Anki card, but MH has a machine-generated voice for the card. Is this intentional, a bug, or a setting that I’m missing?

If this isn’t already planned to be consistent (using the original audio), I think it would be a great motivator for me, as hearing the intensity or vibe of the original audio is great.

Same here. It would be great even to get some visibility on when it does or doesn’t manage to grab audio successfully, this would be killer for harvesting anki cards if it worked reliably.

I realized the audio work for english & most of japanese shows/films on Netflix, and does not work on Youtube (unfortunately :frowning:)

Same issue here: Today, when using the CSV export function to import into Anki, the new notes in Anki play computer-generated audio rather than the Netflix audio. The original audio exported fine for the same film yesterday though. How do I ensure the original audio is exported? This is a deal-breaker for me.

Hello @badgerer
When you click Play next to a saved item from Netflix in the Saved tab, does it play with the original audio?

Nope – it plays computer-generated audio. Specifically, for the same film, all the items I saved on 18th September have computer-generated audio, and all the items on 17th September have the original audio.
