Today i discovered that playback at 0.75x is possible. Helps me a great deal.
Any chance that there could be an option for 0.5x ? My ear is not very good. I can always speed it up when i get better at listening.

TL;DR: Adding O.5x to the speed dial for LR will help Learners still getting acquainted with their TL pick up more individual words (within sentences/phrases) and phrases of their TL.
This would be a great addition!
It’s possible that the LR Team might have added the 0.75x (recent addition) as a start to slow down the reader mode (under the text tool) because many of us could not keep up with the mile-a-minute default reader voice (much faster than the voices in PhrasePump).
I’m so grateful that they had the foresight to take that request further (if that was the case that prompted them to do so) and make the reduction in speed a site-wide feature.

0.75x is a great deal better for me than it was (for Korean) in reader mode before the slow-down feature addition.
I use the 0.75x speed in PhrasePump sometimes when the audio from shows and videos are a little fast.
I’m able to pick up more of the language than before that way.
Beyond that, every learner and language is different — and some audio from some videos can be spoken faster than others — so LR definitely needs a 0.5x speed for learners who are still getting acquainted with their TL.
This will help them pick up more individual words (within sentences/phrases) and phrases of their TL.
LR team, please consider this!
