Recently, when hovering over text in the sidebar or the closed captions, the translation of the word does not pop up anymore. I use the chrome extension for windows 11.
What could be causing this? This is happening on YouTube. I am not sure about Netflix, I don’t have an account.

I tried to reproduce it on my end and it worked - could you tell me what language it is set for?
I have it set for Spanish. Is there a way I could better diagnose the problem? I am assuming when a word is hovered over it makes an API call to some translation site, so maybe I could look at the network traffic in Chrome Developer’s tools in order to see if that call is even being made. Or what can I do?
This feature is the main reason I purchased and continue to use this extension. It’s aggravating to have to switch to another window or tab and do the lookup myself for a word or phrase and have to pause the video I am watching.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, is your translation language different from the study language (spanish)?
Is “Show mini dictionary” enabled?
