LR shows BOTH YT's and LR's subtitles at the same time

Whenever I open a YT video, LR shows BOTH the video’s default subtitles and LR’s subtitles. So, double subtitles in the same language. Impossible to read, one over the other, and the translation done by LR is barely visible behind the default subs, too.

If I disable the video’s default subtitles, then LR automatically stops working. It says in its panel that the YT subtitle language is “OFF”.
