Some videos for which you won’t find subtitles for on Youtube have been made in Amara…
(there are actually way more websites of that kind than only Amara… I once Googled that and find like ten of so… you could look into them and see what’s the most useful and easy to implement 
)
…which is great because they won’t be removed from the owner of the original video for stealing his views by someone creating one specific video with subs (and even if the user removes his videos for some reason, the sub themselves will stay on Amara, in case you’re using them to study).
Can we please have support for that?
