I know you are busy, but if it is easy to implement, I would like to see it available on m.youtube.com.
The Chrome extension should work quite well on mobile devices, so there would be no need to develop a mobile app.
I have had a good experience with the Microsoft Edge Canary release for Android.
The UI is somewhat clunky as you have to request the desktop site.
It would be better if it worked on m.youtube.com
It is also interesting that a browser from a large company like Microsoft is preparing to support extensions for mobile versions.
