I have a love-hate relationship with language reactor. It has helped me so much and is my main source of language learning but oh my god it’s like all the bugs in the world just keep occurring to me week-after-week.
Dear Devs, what do i do about this? Please suggest a fix. Although i should mention that this is a 2.5 hour long podcast, but even then, what’s the point of a media player if it can’t even play, say a 3 hour movie with translations? The translations are working fine for me in other 30 minute videos.
I should also mention that when i save the phrases, in that tab, the translation appears magically. So the translations are actually there but the media player is just not showing them with the subtitles.
Hello @Arshnoor_sandhu, thanks for your request!
Are you still experiencing this issue? I can’t reproduce it on my end with a video that’s about 3 hours long. It may have already been fixed. Let me know if you’re still seeing it.
I’m using a Macbook Air M1 and chrome as a browser, if it matters. I tried safari as well but for some reason the media player is way slower and buggy on safari.
@Arshnoor_sandhu Thank you for the details you provided. This really helps us identify and fix the issue more quickly. I was able to reproduce the issue where the translated subtitles aren’t showing up at all in the video you attached. The LR subtitles are also missing on YouTube for this video, even though the video has built-in subtitles. This has already been reported to the team, and we’re working to fix it as soon as possible. Thanks!
