Is there any update as to when we can expect the Arabic subtitles to be fixed? it’s the one aspect of Language Reactor that is stopping me from committing to using it.
Hello @Josh_Massarotti,
Thank you for your message!
What do you mean by “broken”?
Every 4th or 5th word in the subtitles are greyed out and can not be translated. Also for some reason for Arabic when exporting to Anki there is no audio, where as for other languages there is.
Hello @Josh_Massarotti,
Thanks for reminding me. It’s still in progress.
I was about to post about this, Its pretty frustrating as its at least a few words in a sentence sometimes and I recently just got the pro version of language reactor.
From my experience the arabic words which LR makes grey are usually foreign words transliterated into arabic. For example يوك for York.
I noticed real arabic words also were greyed out and if I recall correctly these words tend to have pronouns like ك etc attached to them.
Not sure if this is an LR bug or maybe the AI model they use to transcribe videos
I wish it were true but its not, that would be a simple fix.
As you can see the words that are greyed out are some pretty common Iraqi words. Also they way the Arabic letters appear can be quite messed up.
