Hello,
I just bought pro to save words in youtube, but I am unable to. When click the “mark as known/learning” button nothing happens. The star also does not work. I have linked the particular video I was watching but this occurs on any video.
Thanks
I was able to save the word and phrase from the video you attached. It appears in the Saved section Language Reactor
If you mark a word as “known”, it is important to add the “Marked as Known” filter in the ‘Saved’ section so that the marked known words also appear in the list (by default, only words marked as “Marked to Learn” are displayed) - see the screenshot below
To display words in a different color when marked for easier navigation, you should add color settings for each word separately - see the screenshot below
Please also note that when studying Arabic, the “Mark as Known” and “Mark as Learning” buttons in the dictionary popup are displayed in reverse order. For other languages, the buttons are arranged the other way around, so we should fix this for the sake of convenience.
If the words you’ve marked are still not being saved to the “Marked as Knowns” and “Marked as Learn” lists in the Saved section of the website, please let us know if you see any error messages when marking a word and make sure you’re logged into the same account on the website and in the extension—you should see the same email address in the settings for both the website and the extension—see the screenshot below
Please let me know the result!
Thanks!
Hello Yana,
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, that is not the issue I’m having. Its not that I can’t see my saved words, its that the save word button does nothing on youtube. When I click it nothing happens. Its works fine on Netflix though.
Thanks
Hi, I found out what the problem is. I think the problem is with the browser. When i try to click save word button in youtube in google chrome then it works but when i do it in another browser which is in Brave browser then it does not work
@bofjamie, thank you for you reply.
I see the issue you described in the Brave browser - the “Mark as Known” and “Mark as Learning” buttons don’t work on YouTube, but they do work on Netflix. We know about this issue. I’m not sure how soon this will be fixed, since the extension is officially supported only in Google Chrome.
But I don’t see this issue in Google Chrome. Please try marking a word in Incognito mode in Google Chrome and let me know the result.
Also, please let me know the version of your Google Chrome browser.
