Issue with Language Reactor showing BAD_REQUEST error for Persian subtitles.

Hello, I’m experiencing the following error in Language Reactor:

Language Reactor Error: Failed to retrieve linguistic data: BAD_REQUEST Lang: fa

I’m currently watching an educational course on a YouTube channel. When I try to display the subtitles from English to Persian, this error appears. I really need this feature, so I would appreciate your help in understanding what the problem is.

What’s confusing to me is that this issue does not happen on some other videos from the same channel. Do you know what the reason could be?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi @Vahid
This should now be working, we have fixed it! Please let us know if you are still having this issue.

Hello,
This issue has not been resolved and I really need these training courses so I can watch them with Persian subtitles.
I have checked my internet connection and there are no issues with the speed, but I am still facing problems.
Here is a sample video link that I want to watch with Persian subtitles, but I am unable to do so. Please fix this as I really need this course.

Thank you very much.

Hello @Vahid
Thanks for the link to the video. I get this error also here
Does this error only appear on this video? Or does it happen on others as well?

I always receive this error on the link I shared, and I am experiencing the same issue with other videos as well.

Error: “Language Reactor Error: Failed to retrieve linguistic data: BAD_REQUEST Lang: fa”

Please help fix this issue so that I can watch videos with Persian subtitles.

Thank you.

Hello @Vahid!
We have looked into this issue.
This video is very huge(29h), we cannot support it — we currently have a 20-second timeout for NLP requests, which should support videos up to 3-4 hours long.
The solution I can offer you is to download the video, split it into 3-4 hour segments, and upload them to MediaFile
Or, as is usually the case, the channel author combines all the videos into one (like this) from the smaller ones. There may be videos for each of these lessons on the channel, and you can watch them without any problems :raised_hands:
