My Texts - play doesn't work on Samsung Tablet

I LOVE the “my texts” feature - I use this more than any other feature of the app. It works GREAT on my laptop browsers (both Edge and Chrome). Also, it works properly on my Google Pixel 9 (Android) phone. It works MOSTLY correctly on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 tablet - both under Edge and Chrome.

What does NOT work - at all - on my tablet is the play function.

Examples:

  • tap on the play button on a sentence
  • tap on the play area (blue area at bottom of the page)

Nothing happens, it doesn’t play, it doesn’t “appear” to be playing while not creating any sound - it acts as if I didn’t do anything.

Note: If I tap on a word - to open the “dictionary” - it DOES properly play (speak) the word - pronounced properly, etc.

There seems to be something broken with this capability - and it has been like this for at least 2 years - I don’t remember it ever working, but I’ve tried it on and off many times, hoping it would get fixed.

I wouldn’t have bothered reporting it even now, except that I’ve noticed that Yana has been responding to people - and working on getting things fixed… so I was hopeful.

I LOVE THIS APP - it is the BEST Language app out there - it is WAY MORE than just youtube and netflix - but it has been stuck - going nowhere for a very long time.

Please fix this!!!
