Here is a link to the Netflix (US) show, it’s called Dynasty Warriors. The original (and default) audio is Cantonese, but I am learning Mandarin. When I switch the audio to Mandarin, LR gets stuck in a loop where it’s trying to pull Mandarin ASR and keeps failing and I can’t watch the show at all.
Image of what the network tab looks like, LR is spamming these repeated requests at hundreds a second. I uploaded a video of the bug to youtube here and include a screenshot of the network tab below.
Hello @mandarin_learner, thank you for reporting this issue. I can see the problem on our end, and I’m experiencing the same behavior as you. I think the issue is that the extension isn’t detecting the original language of the movie, and instead, “?” is shown in the settings. I’ve passed this on to the team to fix!
@mandarin_learner I was experiencing similar issue (different video and different set of languages though). Workaround that worked for me for a while (at least for a month, I guess): turn off subtitles completely, switch audio, and then turn subtitles back on.
Can’t really confirm that it will help in your case, because my LR in Netflix currently does not work at all.
I am having the same exact problem across many shows and languages. When trying to switch the audio, it gets stuck in a loop where it changes audio back and forth forever.
