I am using Netflix with ASR subtitles for Chinese. I am learning simplified. I notice, when producing ASR some shows will show traditional characters and others will show simplified. Is there a way to change between writing system?
Thanks a lot.

Hello @Claudia_Saji,
If you have ASR Chinese (simplified) selected in the Netflix subtitle language drop down list in your settings, but the subtitles are displayed in traditional Chinese, then this is a bug.
Could you send a link to the show where this is happening?
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I’m a bit late in responding, but I wanted to clarify that I can’t choose between Simplified or Traditional. The show is in Chinese (Guoyu), which can be written in either script, but the program automatically uses Traditional characters.
Here I add a picture:
Thanks a lot!
Hello @Claudia_Saji, thanks for your reply.
The reason why they are displayed in traditional characters is that ASR Pro automatically generates subtitles from speech, and the system can output traditional or simplified Chinese depending on the video.
We will try to discuss whether this can be fixed: perhaps by adding a “Subtitles preference” setting - a choice between Simplified and Traditional for ASR(Pro).
