I am trying to learn Japanese through the video/file feature (the only feature that enables me to use Language Reactor on my phone), but the machine translation is so inaccurate, it it virtually unusable.
My suggestion is to either allowing to add human translation as a second SRT file, or use a better AI for translation.

If you want to use language reactor on your phone or Android tablet here is how I do it.
Install kiwi browser
Go to Chrome extensions and install language reactor and sign in.
Go to YouTube and make sure you have desktop site mode checked.
You may need to restart the browser in between somewhere.
You should be able to use language reactor on your phone in this way. I have this working on both my Android phone and tablet.
Note that this doesn’t work for Netflix on an Android device, apparently because of copy protection.
Because of the small screen size it takes some fiddling to get it dialed in for my phone. On my tablet it works great.

For YouTube though, I’m having better luck with the native YouTube full screen capability.
I was blocked on a show so I chose to give the ‘pro’ features a try, the machine translations a very bad. I’d go as far as to say they should disable them entirely, they could do more harm than good and certainly not put into a subscription package selling point. I’m happy to support the site, I’m not one to expect free services to grow and prosper, it should have financial support for the experience it provides.
Has LR ever approached Netflix for either for an open collaboration or a sell offer? It is such a global customer base and is a mutually beneficial business opportunity, not to mention a much better user end experience potentially, especially when there are existing subtitles are unavail for good reason.
