Subtitles not loading on Netflix

I tried this for the first time last night and it worked. Unfortunately I have just tried it again and we are now back to ‘loading subtitles’

:crying_cat_face:

that was the very first thing I tried after reading on here. Didn’t work for me

@Ici we didn’t change anything during that time. If it was working and then stopped working again, that means something is blocking the subtitles again. Are you using a VPN?

Hi no I am not using a VPN. What was really odd was that after I sent the last message I went back to my normal chrome account and the subtitles came back but have now gone again

Hi @Ici, thank you for your reply. Try using incognito mode. It’s possible that your browser settings are preventing the LR subtitles from working. Let me know the result

Hi! Unfortunately it still says ‘Loading Subtitles’

@Ici, could you please let us know which browser and browser version you’re using?
Also, could you check whether subtitles are working correctly on YouTube?

At the moment, we’re still trying to understand what might be causing this issue.
If possible, could you record a screen video with the browser Console open?

  1. Go to Netflix.
  2. Open the Developer Console:
  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + J
  • macOS: Option + ⌘ + J
  1. Start a screen recording.
  2. Open any movie or TV show on Netflix.
  3. Please keep the recording running for a little while after opening the video so we can see any errors that appear in the Console.
Once you’ve recorded the video, could you please send it to yana.baklan7@gmail.com?
    Thank you!

I am having a similar problem.
Original language:Japanese
Netflix audio lanuage:Thai
Netflix subtitle language: ASR Thai
Translation language: English

the asr subs load for some previous shows, but not for the latest episode of an anime series currently released. the sub actually loads for several seconds, but I get a "Problem fetching ASR, server-error notification.

the netflix provided subtitles can load, but the authentic audio is lost. Thats the main issue for me, I want to save the authentic audio instead of the unnatural AI voice.

help with this issue please. Thanks in advance

hello anyone have a suggestion or answer? I mean the whole reason to pay for a pro subscription is to have this kind of functionality. without it working now, I kind of feel a bit upset.

Hi @Chris_cnx, сould you please send a link to the episode where the ASR subtitles aren’t working so we can reproduce the issue on our end? Thank you!
